Consultation · Individuals, Parents & Organizations

Not every question requires therapy.

Sometimes, you simply need an expert to help you make sense of something complicated. I offer consultation for individuals, parents, and organizations who would benefit from a psychologist's expertise applied to a specific question, concern, or goal.

The goal of consultation is to make psychological expertise more accessible and useful: helping people understand complex information, ask better questions, and determine what comes next.

What consultation is

Making psychological expertise useful.

Consultation can be a single meeting or a few conversations, focused on one question and on practical next steps.

Families often come to make sense of an evaluation they've already completed, since reports can be full of data and jargon, or to understand a child or teen's behavior in light of their stage of development. I also work with schools, businesses, and organizations on mental health education and training.

Consultation may be helpful for

  • Making sense of a recent psychological, neuropsychological, or psychoeducational evaluation
  • Understanding test scores, diagnoses, and recommendations
  • Turning assessment findings into next steps at home, school, or work
  • Understanding a child or teen's behavior at their developmental stage
  • Mental health education and training for schools and organizations
